Luke 1:37 proclaims that “NOTHING is impossible with God!” There is no one out of the reach of His Gospel and there is no sickness that is higher or stronger that the mighty Name of Jesus.

Mission Possible Cardiff consisted of a number of pre-crusade events: Quiz nights, pudding parties, traditional cream teas, Soup’N’Roll, curry nights and an arts and crafts ‘crafty coffee morning’ At each of these a testimony was given and a warm invitation to the evening crusades that would take place at the end of the week. One lady who came to the coffee morning was so touched by the love expressed by those she met that she returned that night and gave her life to Jesus!

In addition to these, Mission Possible also took the Church to the people of Cardiff in schools and care homes. We took lessons and assemblies as well as singing to the elderly. Again the gospel was preached with and on different occasions we had the privilege to kneel and pray with people to receive Jesus right there and then.

On the Thursday of the mission week Don Double joined us for the first of the crusades and the impact of the preached gospel message was immediate. Over the four crusades  Mission Possible Cardiff saw a great number of lives changed: people were saved at every crusade, the sick were healed, people were baptised in water and filled with the Holy Spirit. We thank and praise God for all he did during the week!

But even more than this, Mission Possible has changed the church – a ‘buzz’ now resides and there is a strong desire to reach out. Mission Possible was the culmination of a month of activity that has seen the church grow in number and in it’s compassion for the lost.

Now our goal is simple – stirred by the anointing of an evangelist we’ve set out to claim the Capital of Wales for Jesus Christ.

Mission Possible”
at Covenant Life Church, Leicester

In Christian circles RFA usually means “ready for anything;” and so it was when Don Doubles advance, Mission Possible team came to Covenant Life Church Leicester and involved themselves in a range of evangelistic events – open-air, coffee mornings, cream teas, knit-and-knatter, seniors lunch club; a cheese & wine evening, men’s curry night and ladies ‘pink-pool’ party; plus their pudding party with 29 varieties to sample – a dieticians worst nightmare! A special note should be made, in particular, of Dave & Clare Cleaves’ excellent work in school assemblies and lessons of which their were 11 in 4 days.
At each event a team member gave their testimony to all present urging people to choose Christ. As a direct result a man and a lady came to Don’s Mission Possible meetings, on separate evenings, and received Christ! Another man talked to his Christian wife into the early hours of the next morning, and still with others there is unfinished business as the Holy Spirit pursues them for Jesus!
When Don himself arrived he also proved to be RFARefreshed, Fired up, and Anointed as he boldly proclaimed the Good News of Jesus Christ with power and passion as well as humour and tenderness. Signs followed as people came to Christ – mostly for the first time with some making a recommitment. At the same time physical healings took place in people’s bodies including a lady with an eye cataract and also a man who asked Don to pray for his wife and at the same time felt the power of God come upon him and was later without his walking stick and freely lifting his legs up and down – hallelujah!
Mission Possible concluded ‘officially’ on the Sunday morning, however, Don had said: “when the meetings are finished God isn’t!” Laterthat day a further 8 young people received Christ – God is still at work and the possibilities are limitless!

Mission Possible”

A warm welcome, good accommodation and continuous loving support were hallmarks of this “Mission Possible”.

The forward team, during the lead up to “Mission Possible”, comprised of Dave and Clare Cleave, with Don and Anne Trahearn, who were able to share their testimonies at a variety of social events, such as the Pudding Party, a Curry night, and the Quiz. All of these were very successful and drew quite a few unchurched guests. In two schools Dave and Clare led Assemblies and several religious education lessons, which were very well received. Doors have been opened for future input at the schools. Two very different nursing homes were also visited for the first time, and it was wonderful to see eyes sparkling as familiar songs were remembered and then sung with increasing happiness. In one home two ladies prayed the prayer of salvation and it was a privilege to see God at work in them. Again the Church was asked to become a regular visitor.

Right from the beginning “Mission Possible” was incredible. A number of people commented on Don Double’s refreshingly simple, but direct, presentation of the gospel, and said that he spoke with genuine passion for the whole truth of the Bible. At each meeting there was always a response to the invitation for salvation and almost 40 people were prayed for before receiving further counselling and helpful literature. God confirmed His word with many signs and wonders following, for instance one young man testified he “used” to have a banana allergy but after prayer he ate the fruit without suffering any of the old symptoms. Praise God!

God is certainly good - all the time!
