DON'S UPDATE, NOVEMBER 2008

Dear Friends,

It is a joyful time to express to you all the good things that God has so graciously been doing over the past month. It is certainly true “God is good all the time”.

We have been ministering at Seaton in Devon, a great weekend with the Church of the Living God in Richmond, then I had the pleasure of speaking at a Harvest thanksgiving service at the Barn in Helston – the first such occasion for many years. Also at Tregony – good to get updated on some of the things God had done during the Mission in July, then a Mission Possible in Cardiff – and what a wonderful time we had. The Sunday morning service especially – the best worship I had experienced for many years. This led to a great liberty in preaching – I felt I could have gone on all day. More than thirty responded to the salvation call – also some good miracles of healing took place. One lady, who was from Korea, was paralysed down one side. During prayer she felt, in her words, “a warm glow go right down the side”. Before she left the building she came and declared that she was wonderfully healed. Also it was encouraging to hear of fruit from a year ago when we were there. One lady had come to know the Lord and had been healed of multiple sclerosis. The doctor had said to her “there are no MS symptoms left in your body”. As always we want to be sure to give God all the praise and glory for the things He has done. The final weekend of the month we were in Leicester and Melton Mowbray. We had a very special time at the men’s breakfast. God was ministering to these men and bringing them into another step in their walk with Him. Sunday morning, to our knowledge there was one unsaved person in the congregation, the husband of a saved wife, and he made his commitment to Christ. Hallelujah!

Lots of other things have been happening both at home and abroad with literature, ETC students, reporting they are putting into practiced the things they learnt on the training course, plus a whole lot more. We give thanks to you for your prayers and support - that certainly is a big help to us in all we seek to do in the Kingdom of God. I hope you have been blessed by the current Frontline Connections –we’d love to get some comments back from you. “Of course you can!”, the book of Heather’s life is selling well and we are getting some most encouraging feedback. If you’ve read it, let us know what you think. My ever-popular book “Life in a new dimension” that is completely out of print, we have decided to reprint the original version which is just on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. More details later.

As you will see from the Autumn Tour itinerary in Frontline Connections we are going to be extremely busy and doing much travelling. If you are within travelling distance of one of the venues, we would love to see you, and please come and say “Hi!” but in any case we would most sincerely ask you for your prayers and if you can make it widely known and encourage unbelievers to come we believe God will save them.

As I mentioned before, a prophetic word was spoken over me which included very strongly “a new season, a new sword and a new strategy” – I can assure you that I am praying into this and it’s proving very much to be the word of the Lord to me. Those who hear me preach frequently are emphasising the new sword in particular, but the new season and new strategy are also important and are very much part of the future. Your prayers along this line would be helpful, please, and believe me I am encouraged that God is speaking along these lines for a man of my age. I am excited about the future.
