July Update
Dear Friends,
Warmest greetings! It has been a very busy month but awesome the things God as been doing! The Ipswich Mission was really great. The crowd was filling the building – the Filipino choir was a huge blessing. 14 responded to the salvation call and masses of people came for healing. One of the things that really blessed us was people coming to tell us how God had healed them last year.
Probably one of the highlights of the month was at the Fellowship of Evangelists Day Conference. When a new guy was introducing himself to the conference, he (John Tamblyn from Cardiff) said how he got saved in my Tent Crusade in 1982. It is such a blessing to see not only fruit of your ministry but also those who were saved also bearing fruit. We thank God for the encouragement and give Him all the praise and all the glory.
Many thanks to everyone who sent birthday cards. I had a really nice celebration with my family and friends on the Saturday and as I was preaching at Taunton on the Sunday someone had informed them it was my birthday and when I walked in up on the screen was “Happy Birthday Don”. In the service they sang “Happy Birthday” and then paraded a cake with candles on! I was in Swindon that evening ready for the Evangelists Conference and we went out for an Italian meal with one of my Trustees and his wife. We were eating our meal when a waiter appeared with his tambourine and the whole restaurant sang “Happy Birthday” and while this was happening a hat was put on my head – so a day to remember!

I have just had my colonoscopy and praise God have been given the “All Clear” again.
I am hoping that many of you will be able to join us at Camp (still time left to book up if you haven’t already!) – come and say “Hi!” if you’re there. I shall be preaching at the morning session on the Wednesday. I am really looking forward to being with our old friend Dan Sneed again.
Having pioneered the Christian bookshop in St Austell over 40 years ago it is with a measure of sadness that we are now handing it over to the Sacred Trust but there is joy in the fact that it is going to continue as a Christian bookshop. I felt the Lord showed me that the pain is like birth pains that have given the shop to St Austell and there is a lot of joy at a birth. Well that seems it for my personal update to my friends. I trust that you are all well and rejoicing in the joy of the Lord and the summer sunshine.
Your friend in Christ
Don
